Under the familiar surroundings of Bangalore Turf Club (BTC), a competitive nine-race programme will unfold on Sunday, 19 July, featuring races for maidens, handicappers and experienced stayers across distances ranging from 1200 metres to 2400 metres. The afternoon fixture will begin at 1:00pm and conclude at 5:00pm, with total prize money headed by the prestigious Governor’s Cup, which carries a purse of Rs.20,47,500. Supporting races for Class III, Class IV and Class V performers will complement the feature contest, making for a well-balanced day of racing.

The Amazing Grace Plate Division II will be run at 2:00pm over 1400 metres for Class V horses rated 0 to 25, with total prize money of Rs.4,50,000. The opening field will comprise INFINITE SPIRIT, MEGA SUCCESS, SEA GOD, SLING SHOT, N R I MILLENNIUM, EMBOSOM, DR. COLCHESTER and SOUTHERNARISTOCRAT, providing an evenly matched start to the meeting.
The spotlight will then shift to The Mamma’s Mink Plate at 2:30pm, a 1200-metre Maiden contest for three-year-olds only carrying prize money of Rs.11,00,000. The large field will feature EMINENT GOLD, KNIGHTSBRIDGE, MARTANDA, PERSONAL LEGEND, ROUTING RUN, WILDSTAR, BAY VIEW, LOVE CAN’T LIE, PERFECT DREAM, SAI PRINCESS, TEAK and WAR QUEEN, making it one of the deepest races on the programme.

The expected runners will include PERIDOT, THE GOLDEN DREAM, SUPERHERO, FRIYA, FLAMINGO DREAM, LEX LUTHOR, DOUBLE SCOTCH and PRINCESS JASMINE.
The middle stages of the meeting will feature The Raja of Bobbili Memorial Trophy at 3:30pm, a 1400-metre Class III contest for horses rated 40 to 65 worth Rs.6,30,000. The competitive line-up will consist of ROYAL NOBILITY, AQUAMATIC, LADY INVICTUS, ABSOLUTE FORCE, INVINCIBLE, DYNAMIC FORCE, SOUTHERN FORCE and STAR COMET.
The feature race of the afternoon will arrive with The Governor’s Cup at 4:00pm over 2400 metres for horses aged four years and above, offering the day’s richest prize fund of Rs.20,47,500. The prestigious staying contest will bring together DUKE OF TUSCANY (Vivek G.), QUEEN OF KINGS (Neeraj Rawal), VICTOR HUGO (Akshay Kumar) and MOON STAR (Vinod Shinde) in a select field for one of Bangalore’s notable trophies.
Racing will continue thereafter with The Flirting Vision Plate Division II at 4:30pm, a 1200-metre Class IV event for horses rated 20 to 45 carrying Rs.5,10,000. The declared runners will be DONCASTER BELLE, PREVIEW, ROCKING STAR, ELVEDEN, ROADRUNNER, DIVO, FIERY LOVE, DIANA, THE ONE AND ONLY and TREASURE QUEEN.
Bringing the meeting to its conclusion, The Flirting Vision Plate Division I will be staged at 5:00pm over 1200 metres for Class IV horses rated 20 to 45, also worth Rs.5,10,000. The closing race will feature VIBRANT QUEEN, BLUE STORM, DEEP RESPECT, AGERA, CARAT LOVE, FEMME FATALE, JALWA, MAKOTO and DR ASH.
The nine-race programme will combine competitive handicaps, a valuable maiden event and the prestigious Governor’s Cup, ensuring a varied schedule throughout the afternoon. With healthy field sizes across most races and a quality staying feature to headline proceedings, Bangalore Turf Club will present another notable fixture on the domestic racing calendar.
