Indian horse racing will return to Bangalore Turf Club (BTC) for an entertaining six-race programme on Saturday, 18 July, with the opening race scheduled for 2:00 PM and the concluding event at 4:30 PM. The afternoon meeting will feature two maiden races for three-year-olds together with competitive handicaps for Class III, Class IV and Class V runners. More than ₹42 lakh in prize money will be offered across the card, with races staged over distances ranging from 1200 metres to 1600 metres, ensuring a varied and competitive afternoon of racing.

Kicking off the programme at 2:00 PM will be The Doncaster Plate, a 1600-metre maiden for three-year-old horses only carrying a total purse of ₹11,00,000. The opening contest will provide an excellent opportunity for lightly raced youngsters to register their first career success over the mile. APRAMEYA, HABOOB, SHINING PATH, TIPPED OFF, FORTISSIMA and SHRISHTI will line up in a competitive field where every runner will aim to make a winning breakthrough.
The action will continue at 2:30 PM with The Bold Gesture Plate Div II, a 1200-metre Class V handicap for horses rated 00 to 25 with prize money of ₹4,50,000. JOYFUL SPIRIT, ESTEFANIA, RANSOMWARE, HOLD YOUR BREATH, MYSTICAL QUEEN, N R I JETPOWER, MEGHANN and WAKIZASHI will contest the sprint, which will bring together a closely matched group of runners capable of making a strong impact over the minimum trip.
Attention will then shift to The Cape Dance Plate at 3:00 PM, another 1400-metre maiden restricted to three-year-olds, offering ₹11,00,000 in prize money. ARC OF LIFE, BHAGYA, BUREVESTNIK, MORNING SUN, SAVANNA STORM, SOLANA and VALERIAN will compete in a race that will once again highlight emerging talent as the young horses seek their maiden victory.
The feature event of the afternoon will arrive at 3:30 PM with The Dr. K.M. Srinivasa Gowda Memorial Cup, a 1200-metre Class III handicap for horses rated 40 to 65 carrying total prize money of ₹6,30,000. A quality field of twelve runners comprising BELLAVITA, KABALI, BEZAWADA SULTAN, ROYAL DECCAN, SAPPORO, FORTIS, STRAVINSKY, ZEPHYRINE, FLIGHT OF FANCY, RIVER DEEP, ECLIPSE PULSE and BASILICA will contest what promises to be one of the strongest and most competitive races on the programme.
The penultimate contest will be The Karnataka Police Trophy at 4:00 PM, a 1400-metre Class IV handicap for horses rated 20 to 45 with a total stake of ₹5,10,000. EL REY, REGAL BEAUTY, QUEENDOM, GIFTED FALCON, TRICON FALCON, ASHWA NEW YORK, JOLIE’S STAR, WHITNEY and KINGS VICTORYQUEEN will line up in a competitive field where proven performers and progressive runners will meet over the seven-furlong distance.
Bringing the meeting to a close at 4:30 PM will be The Bold Gesture Plate Div I, another 1200-metre Class V handicap for horses rated 00 to 25 with prize money of ₹4,50,000. TIGER BAY, JAILER, CHISOX, VISONS DREAM, WHITE SECRET, HONEYPOT, KHAZANA and LEGENDARY IMPACT will contest the concluding sprint, ensuring the Saturday programme finishes with another closely fought handicap.
Saturday’s card will provide an appealing blend of maiden races and handicap contests, allowing promising three-year-olds to test their ability alongside experienced campaigners competing across the handicap divisions. The programme will include three sprint races over 1200 metres, two races over 1400 metres and a mile contest, offering a balanced schedule that will test both speed and stamina throughout the afternoon.
