The Bahrain Race Results 16 January concluded a full and competitive eight-race programme at the Bahrain Turf Club (BTC), with racing staged from late afternoon through the evening. The card was anchored by a series of prestigious Cup contests, as local and international connections shared success across sprint and middle-distance races.
Proceedings began at 4:00 pm with the H.H. Sh. Isa Bin Salman Bin Hamad Al Khalifa Cup, where OBEYAN set the early standard with a measured victory. Alberto Sanna partnered the Abdulla Kuwaiti-trained runner to score in 1:37.343 for owner Al Wasmiya.
The Huntsman Cup followed at 4:30 pm and was claimed by BUSSENTO, who delivered a decisive performance under Neil Callan. Trained by Fawzi Nass, the Al Mohamediya Racing representative recorded a winning time of 1:22.723.
Race three at 5:00 pm, the H.H. Sh. Salman Bin Isa Bin Salman Al Khalifa Cup, saw REALM prevail in a testing staying contest. Ebrahim Nader guided the Haider Ebrahim-trained runner to success in 2:20.120 for owner Mohammed Khalid Abdulrahim.
Another feature Cup was secured at 5:30 pm as BATTYEFORD BOY captured the H.H. Sh. Abdulla Bin Isa Bin Salman Al Khalifa Cup. Alberto Sanna completed a double on the card, steering the Abdulla Kuwaiti-trained winner home in 2:03.568 for owner Abdulla AlGaoud.
The Al Adiyat Bahrain Bred Cup was contested at 6:00 pm and produced a strong display from SOUTH CHINA SEA. Ridden by Ebrahim Nader and trained by Daniel and Claire Kubler, the runner scored in 1:38.114 for Al Adiyat Racing.
Speed took centre stage at 6:30 pm in the H.H. Sh. Hamad Bin Isa Bin Salman Al Khalifa Cup, where LUNA proved too sharp for rivals. Neil Callan partnered the Ali Abdulmajeed-trained sprinter to victory in 1:15.338, once again carrying the colours of Al Mohamediya Racing.
The Al Wasmiya Cup was decided at 7:00 pm, with ANOTHER BAAR striking decisively. Benoit De La Sayette guided the Adrian Keatley-trained runner to success in 59.638 for owner Think And Become.
The meeting concluded at 7:40 pm with the Al Adiyat Cup, where PHANTOM FLIGHT closed the card on a strong note. Callum Shepherd delivered a well-timed ride aboard the George Scott-trained winner, who completed the contest in 1:47.991 for Victorious Forever.
