The Bahrain Turf Club (BTC) will stage an eight-race evening fixture on Thursday, 26 February, with presenting a structured and competitive programme under lights. The meeting will begin at 8:15 pm and will continue through to 11:45 pm, covering sprint distances through to extended staying trips, with prize money ranging from BHD 2,000 to BHD 5,000 across varied classes and rating bands.

The RACE 1 – H.H. SH. Sultan Bin Hamad Al Khalifa WAHO Cup will open the card at 8:15 pm. Run over 1200 metres for a prize of BHD 2,000, the race will be restricted to four- and five-year-olds. The six-furlong trip will demand early speed and tactical positioning, particularly under evening conditions where track rhythm often proves decisive.

At 8:45 pm, the RACE 2 – H.H. SH. Khalifa Bin Hamad Al Khalifa Cup will be contested over the same 1200-metre distance with prize money of BHD 2,000. Open to three-year-olds and older horses rated 0–45, the contest will provide a competitive platform for lower-rated runners aiming to progress within their category.

The RACE 3 – H.H. SH. Mohamed Bin Salman Bin Hamad Al Khalifa Apprentice Cup will follow at 9:15 pm. Staged over a sharp 1000 metres and carrying BHD 2,000 in prize money, the race will be open to horses aged three years and above rated 0–75. The shorter trip will place emphasis on acceleration from the gates and measured judgement from emerging riders.

RACE 4 – Horse Welfare Authority Cup will headline the evening at 9:45 pm. This Class 1 – Domestic Grade 2 contest will be run over 1200 metres and will offer the joint-highest purse of the programme at BHD 5,000. Established domestic performers will meet under defined conditions, making it one of the most significant races on the schedule.

At 10:15 pm, the RACE 5 – H.H. SH. Mohamed Bin Salman Bin Hamad Al Khalifa Cup will be staged over 1400 metres. Open to runners rated 0–75 and carrying BHD 5,000, the race will test versatility, blending sprint speed with the added stamina required for the seven-furlong distance.

The RACE 6 – H.H. SH. Abdulla Bin Hamad Al Khalifa Cup will take place at 10:45 pm over 1600 metres. The mile maiden will offer BHD 2,000 and will be open to three-year-olds and older horses seeking a first success. The step up in distance will suit developing runners still shaping their racing profiles.

Staying credentials will come into focus at 11:15 pm with the RACE 7 – H.H. SH. Sultan Bin Hamad Al Khalifa Cup over 2400 metres. The race will carry prize money of BHD 3,000 and will be restricted to horses rated 0–90. The extended trip will require measured pacing and sustained finishing effort across the final stages.

The RACE 8 – H.H. SH. Ahmed Bin Mohamed Bin Salman Al Khalifa Cup will conclude the programme at 11:45 pm. Run over 2200 metres for BHD 2,000, the closing contest will be limited to horses rated 0–35 and will provide another test of stamina before the curtain falls on the evening.

The Bahrain Race Cards 26 February will therefore deliver a balanced fixture, combining sprint contests, graded domestic competition, developmental opportunities and staying events within a clearly structured race framework.
