The curtain came down on Day 13 of the Bangalore Summer Meeting with a thrilling finish in The Malakpet Plate Div I, a 1300-meter handicap for horses rated 20 to 45. With a prize purse of ₹5,10,000 and a competitive field lining up at 5:00 pm, the race delivered a fitting end to the day’s action-packed card.
It was Sassy Sarah who emerged victorious, securing a hard-fought win under the expert riding of P. Trevor. Trained by Prasanna Kumar, the filly is owned by Mr. K. Manoj Kumar, Mr. K. Harish Nayak, and Mr. H. J. Balram. She edged past the field in a thrilling photo-finish, clocking 1:20.94 to wrap up the meeting in style.
Finishing second was N R I Victory, trained by Md Sajid Qu’shi and ridden by Vivek G. Despite a strong surge in the final stretch, N R I Victory had to settle for runner-up honours with a timing of 1:21.72.
Taking the third spot was The Gallery Time, guided by Chethan Kalay S. for trainer Warren Singh. The gelding finished in 1:21.98, rounding off the top three in what was a tightly contested closing race.
