Indian Brocade Captures The Juvenile Sprinters’ Million, The Spotlight Race of Bangalore Summer Meeting Day 13

Indian Brocade, with Neeraj Rawal aboard, edges out Elusive Art and Pole Star in a dramatic photo finish to win The Deltin Juvenile Sprinters’ Million (Grade III) at Bangalore Turf Club.

The centerpiece of Day 13 at the Bangalore Summer Meeting, The Deltin Juvenile Sprinters’ Million (Grade III), delivered all the high-octane action one would expect from a premier race for three-year-olds. Contested over 1200 meters and offering a total purse of ₹29,02,500—including ₹17,41,500 to the winner and a trophy worth ₹75,000—the sixth race of the day lived up to its billing as a headline event.

Emerging victorious in a dramatic photo finish was Indian Brocade, ridden to perfection by Neeraj Rawal and trained by Rajesh Narredu. The promising youngster owned by Ms. Ameeta Mehra, showcased both early speed and late determination to clinch the title in 1:12.90.

Hot on his heels was Elusive Art, guided by A. Sandesh for trainer Adhiraj Singh Jodha, representing the ownership group of Mr. P. J. Vazifdar, Mr. Firoze Adi Vakil, Mr. M. Rishad, Mr. Prem Vazirani, and Miss Soonu J. Davar. Elusive Art finished a close second with a timing of 1:13.46, just missing out on glory in a heart-pounding finish.

Rounding off the top three was Pole Star, ridden by Akshay Kumar and trained by Prasanna Kumar, running in the silks of M/s. Rapar Galloping Stars LLP , Mr. Anjan Kumar Rangaraj , Manjri Horse Breeders’ Farm Pvt Ltd Stride Livestock Pvt Ltd. Pole Star finished strongly in 1:13.75, showing great promise against elite competition.

As Indian Brocade stood tall in the winner’s enclosure, the race underscored the emergence of new sprinting stars on India’s racing scene.
