The fifth day of the Mysore Summer Races 2025 got underway with a lively opener, as Phoenix Gold produced a strong and well-timed performance to win The Alberetto Plate Div II, a 1100-meter handicap for horses rated 00 to 25. The contest carried a purse of ₹3,75,000 and opened the seven-race card at the Mysore Race Club.
Trained by Bipin V Salvi and ridden confidently by Abhishek Mhatre, Phoenix Gold surged past rivals in the final furlong to clinch the win in a time of 1:07.021. The win was a significant one for the ownership group of Mr. Sudeer Patel. T, Mrs. Namratha B. Salvi, and Mr. Raj Ramprasad Singh, as the winner delivered a clinical finish under pressure, rewarding their faith in the filly.
