The second race on the card of the tenth day of the Bangalore Summer Meeting at Bangalore Turf Club saw a commanding performance by INDIAN BROCADE, who secured a maiden win in The Amokbash Million (Div II), a 1100-meter contest exclusively for 3-year-olds. Ridden by Suraj Narredu and trained by Rajesh Narredu, the runner claimed the top prize of ₹5,50,000 from a total purse of ₹11,00,000.
The race, held at 2:05 PM at the Bangalore Turf Club, featured a field of promising contenders aiming to break through with their first win. INDIAN BROCADE settled smoothly into stride and showed a clean turn of foot in the final meters to draw clear and finish with authority.
FLIGHT OF FANCY, partnered by S. Saqlain and trained by Darius R. Byramji, tracked the pace well and put in a determined challenge down the straight, but had to be content with second after being outpaced near the wire.
Rounding off the top three was SUPERNAL, guided by R. Ajinkya and prepared by Prasanna Kumar, who stayed on gamely to finish a close third. The runner showed potential and is likely to improve further with experience.
All eyes now turn to the next feature on the card — the Stewards Cup, a 1400-meter handicap race for horses rated 60 to 85, expected to bring more action-packed moments from the summer meeting at Bangalore.
