The Rare Gem Plate (Division I), the penultimate race of the Bangalore Summer Meeting Day-7, delivered an exciting 1200-meter sprint reserved for horses rated 20 to 45. The handicap event, carrying a purse of ₹510,000, was contested over a fast track at the Bangalore Turf Club, showcasing another sharp dash to the wire.

Claiming the spotlight was DON CARLOS, who turned in a polished performance under the guidance of top jockey P. Trevor and trainer S. S. Attaollahi. Breaking cleanly from the gates, the gelding maintained a forward position before producing an assertive kick in the final 300 meters to pull clear and register a well-deserved win.

Chasing gamely and finishing second was THE GREY GERANIUM, trained by M. Rajendra Singh and ridden by A. R. Pradeep. The grey ran a commendable race, tracking the leaders closely and staying on well under pressure, though he couldn’t quite match strides with the winner in the final stages.

Rounding out the top three was ABLE ONE, partnered with Shivam and trained by Azhar Ali, who kept on steadily to finish a respectable third in a competitive field.

The win by Don Carlos added to trainer S. S. Attaollahi’s successful day at the track, capping off an afternoon of tactical rides and close contests. Attention now shifts to the last race of the day—The Manjri Stud Plate—which promises a fitting finale to an engaging day of racing. Stay tuned for final race updates!
