The Brig. R.C.R. Hill Memorial Trophy, the fourth race of the Bangalore Summer Meeting, unfolded as a strategic 1800-meter handicap contest for horses rated 40 to 65. Run at 3:30 PM, the race carried a prize purse of ₹630,000 and demanded both endurance and tactical finesse.
Emerging victorious was EAGLE DAY, guided by an in-form Vivek G. and trained by the legendary Pesi Shroff. The gelding was given a patient ride and unleashed a well-timed charge to seize control of the race, clocking an impressive 1:50.68 to secure the win in style.
Hot on his trail was GORDON, trained by Rajesh Narredu and ridden by A. A. Vikrant, who stayed prominent throughout and mounted a strong challenge in the stretch. His effort saw him finish second with a commendable time of 1:51.30, less than a length behind the winner.
MINDFUL, with Yash Narredu in the saddle for trainer Deepesh Narredu, completed the frame, crossing the line in 1:51.62. The colt showed consistency and held his ground gamely under pressure to claim third.
