The feature long-distance test of the day at the Royal Western India Turf Club, the C. N. Wadia Gold Cup, unfolded at 6:15 PM over a grueling 2400 meters. With total stakes of ₹50,00,000 and ₹30,00,000 earmarked for the winner, the race brought together some of the best stayers of the season—and they did not disappoint.

Emerging triumphant was DYF, who lived up to expectations under P. Trevor to seal a well-judged victory for trainer Adhirajsingh Jodha. The favourite stayed on resolutely to stop the clock at 2:29.563, justifying his odds of 1.90.

Right on his heels came Pyrite, ridden by A. Sandesh and trained by S. Waheed, who gave a spirited chase and narrowly missed out, timing 2:29.637 at 7 odds.

Rounding out the top three was Duke of Tuscany, guided by Vivek G. and trained by P. Shroff. The pair, who had earlier tasted success in the Bombay Club Multi-Million, added another strong finish to their day’s tally with a time of 2:29.663 at odds of 5.50.

As the sun begins to dip over Mahalaxmi, the action presses on with the next race—the Ahead Of My Time Million. Stay tuned for continued coverage from this thrilling season finale.
