Nottingham Racecourse will stage a seven-race Flat meeting on Wednesday, 28 October 2026, featuring contests for two-year-olds, older horses, fillies, and amateur jockeys. The programme begins at 12:46 PM and concludes at 3:46 PM, with races spanning sprint distances to extended middle-distance contests. The meeting includes maiden events, handicap races, and the Listed Robin Hood Stakes, which carries the highest prize fund of the afternoon.

The feature contest is the Robin Hood Stakes (Class 1, Listed Race) at 2:16 PM, offering £60,000 in prize money. Run over 1 mile and 87 yards, the race is open to horses aged three and older. Formerly known as the Ben Marshall Stakes, it is one of the principal attractions on the Nottingham card.

The meeting opens at 12:46 PM with the Racedays for £9 at Nottingham Racecourse Nursery Handicap Stakes (Class 5). This five-furlong-and-eight-yard contest is restricted to two-year-olds and offers £9,000 in prize money. The race has a rating band of 0–75 and provides young horses with an opportunity to demonstrate their ability over a sprint distance.

At 1:16 PM, the Halloween Spooktacular Fireworks 31st Oct Handicap Stakes (Class 5) will take place over the same distance of five furlongs and eight yards. Open to horses aged three and older, the race offers £8,000 in prize money and is restricted to runners rated between 51 and 70. The contest is expected to provide an early test of speed and consistency.

The third race, scheduled for 1:46 PM, is the EBF Stallions Golden Horn Maiden Stakes (Class 3). Restricted to two-year-old colts and geldings, the race will be run over 1 mile and 87 yards, with £13,000 available in prize money. The event gives inexperienced runners an opportunity to compete over a longer distance as they continue their early racing careers.

Attention will then turn to the Robin Hood Stakes at 2:16 PM. The Class 1 Listed contest carries £60,000 in prize money and is open to horses aged three and older. Covering 1 mile and 87 yards, the race is the most valuable event on the card and is expected to be a major highlight of the afternoon. Its Listed status adds significance to the meeting, bringing together runners competing at a higher level.

At 2:46 PM, the EBF Maiden Fillies’ Stakes (Class 3) will be run over 1 mile and 87 yards. Restricted to two-year-old fillies, the race offers £12,000 in prize money. The contest provides young female horses with a chance to gain valuable experience over the mile distance and establish themselves in their early racing careers.

The sixth race is the Racing TV Handicap Stakes (Class 4), scheduled for 3:16 PM. Open to horses aged three and older, the race covers 1 mile, 6 furlongs and 24 yards and offers £10,000 in prize money. The event is restricted to horses rated between 66 and 85. The longer distance will test stamina and the ability to maintain a consistent pace throughout the race.

The meeting concludes at 3:46 PM with the Serena Brotherton Farewell AJA Amateur Jockeys’ Handicap Stakes (Class 6). This race is open to horses aged three and older and will be run over 1 mile, 2 furlongs and 62 yards. With £6,500 in prize money and a rating range of 46–65, the final contest offers a closing challenge for the participating amateur jockeys and their mounts.

With seven races covering a variety of distances and conditions, Nottingham’s Wednesday programme combines opportunities for developing two-year-olds with competitive contests for older horses. The £60,000 Robin Hood Stakes stands out as the principal event, while the maiden races and closing amateur jockeys’ handicap add variety to the afternoon’s schedule.
