The MyRacehorse Canada launch will open a new chapter in Thoroughbred ownership through a partnership with Woodbine , bringing a shared ownership model to Canadian racing fans. Announced in Toronto on October 8, 2026, the initiative will make its debut with Atlantic Voyage ’24, a Canadian-bred two-year-old filly trained by Hall of Fame trainer Josie Carroll and expected to target her first start at Woodbine Racetrack within the next month.

The expansion will introduce Canadian enthusiasts to fractional racehorse ownership, with shares available from as little as CAD $100 through a one-time payment. The initiative will aim to make ownership more accessible while offering participants opportunities to follow their horses’ progress and become involved in the racing experience.

Through the programme, owners will receive exclusive behind-the-scenes content and updates, alongside opportunities to attend morning training sessions, take paddock tours and participate in race-day experiences, including celebrations in the winner’s circle. They will also have opportunities to help name their horses and share in the potential financial outcomes associated with ownership.

MyRacehorse Canada Launch Strengthens Woodbine Partnership

The MyRacehorse Canada launch will mark the company’s entry into the Canadian market and extend its international presence in fractional Thoroughbred ownership. Through its collaboration with Woodbine Entertainment, the company will seek to introduce a wider audience to racehorse ownership and create closer connections between participants and the sport.

Michael Behrens, founder and chief executive officer of MyRacehorse, described fractional ownership as an important innovation with considerable scope for further development across the international racing industry.

Behrens said shared ownership would play an increasingly significant role in the sport’s future, adding that the company would continue to support a model designed to bring more people into racing.

Michael Copeland, chief executive officer of Woodbine Entertainment, welcomed the agreement and highlighted MyRacehorse’s experience in connecting owners with their horses. He said the company’s established record and emphasis on the ownership experience would make it a strong partner for introducing the model to Canadian racing fans.

The collaboration will seek to build a new community of owners at Woodbine, giving participants opportunities to engage with Thoroughbred racing beyond attending race meetings as spectators.

Atlantic Voyage ’24 to Headline Canadian Introduction

Atlantic Voyage ’24 will become the first horse offered through the Canadian initiative. The Canadian-bred two-year-old filly, by Charlatan out of Atlantic Voyage, will be trained by Josie Carroll and will target a debut at Woodbine Racetrack within the coming month, subject to her preparation and readiness.

The filly will bring an established Canadian pedigree to the launch as a half-sister to Curlin’s Voyage, a two-time Canadian champion and winner of the Woodbine Oaks. Her background will provide an early focal point for the new ownership community as the company establishes its presence in the country.

The launch will also reunite MyRacehorse with Carroll, who previously trained Duke of Love to victory in the 2022 Prince of Wales Stakes. That success will connect the Canadian expansion with the company’s previous experience in major North American racing.

Carroll said her work with Duke of Love had demonstrated how fractional ownership could give participants a meaningful connection to their horse. She welcomed the opportunity to train Atlantic Voyage ’24 for a new group of Canadian owners and provide an inside view of the filly’s development, from morning preparations and training to race day.

The planned debut will represent an important early milestone for the initiative, with owners set to follow the filly’s progress as she advances through her preparations.

International Success Supports MyRacehorse Expansion

MyRacehorse will enter Canada with a reported community of more than 100,000 owners across the United States, Australia, the United Kingdom and New Zealand. Its horses have competed and won at the highest levels of Thoroughbred racing, including the Kentucky Derby, Preakness Stakes and Breeders’ Cup.

Among the company’s notable achievements is Seize the Grey’s victory in the 2024 Preakness Stakes, which gave his fractional owners an opportunity to celebrate success in one of American racing’s major events. MyRacehorse also formed part of the ownership group for Authentic, winner of the 2020 Kentucky Derby and Breeders’ Cup Classic.

The company has reported more than 250 victories worldwide for its owners, including wins in prestigious races such as the Prince of Wales Stakes. These results will provide the background for its Canadian expansion as it seeks to apply its ownership model to a new market.

The partnership with Woodbine Entertainment will combine access to fractional ownership with opportunities to experience the preparation, development and racing careers of Thoroughbreds at close quarters. With Atlantic Voyage ’24 leading the initiative, the MyRacehorse Canada launch will introduce a new route into ownership for Canadian racing enthusiasts while expanding the company’s international reach.
