Mysore Race Club Monsoon Races 2026: Deep Respect Holds Firm
The 1200-metre contest developed into a closely fought sprint, with DEEP RESPECT travelling smoothly through the race before finding the extra pace when it mattered most. R.N. Darshan kept the winner in a good rhythm and brought the runner into contention in the closing stages. Once asked for the final effort, DEEP RESPECT responded well and maintained enough advantage to cross the line first in 1:10.046.
EL REY, partnered by Akshay Kumar and trained by James Mckeown, finished second in 1:10.659. The runner-up remained in contention through the closing stages but could not match the winner’s finishing effort.
HIDDEN DREAMS, ridden by M. Rajesh Kumar and trained by Narayana Gowda V, completed the top three in 1:10.992, rounding off a competitive finish to the Belur Plate (Div I).
The result adds another talking point to the day’s racing at Mysore Race Club, with the programme moving on to The Mandya Plate, scheduled for 5:00 PM.
