By | 08 Oct 2026 | Mumbai

Godolphin will be represented by Tempted in The Everest at Randwick on Saturday, October 17, 2026, after the mare continued her unbeaten run for the year with another Group success. The four-year-old will take Godolphin’s slot in the $20 million sprint after winning the G2 Premiere Stakes over 1,200 metres at Randwick last Saturday.

Tempted will arrive at The Everest with a perfect record in 2026. She will have started the year with victories in the G3 Eskimo Prince Stakes and G1 Surround Stakes before adding the G2 Arrowfield 3YO Sprint to her record. Her return in the spring will then produce further success through wins in the G2 Concorde Stakes and G2 Premiere Stakes.

Tempted The Everest Challenge Will Follow Strong 2026 Form

The latest victory will take Tempted’s career record to nine wins from 14 starts, with her earnings standing at more than $7 million. Her two most recent victories will have come at Randwick, giving her valuable experience of the course ahead of her biggest assignment of the year. The mare will also carry the confidence of remaining unbeaten throughout 2026 when she lines up in The Everest.

Godolphin Australia Managing Director Andy Makiv will express his confidence in Tempted and her ability to represent the operation at Randwick. He will also highlight the significance of the mare being a Godolphin homebred and the contribution she will make to the operation’s racing and breeding interests.

Tempted will also represent the Darley stallion brand as a daughter of Street Boss. The American shuttle stallion will stand at Northwood Park, adding another connection between the mare and Godolphin’s wider breeding operation.

With five victories already secured in 2026 and nine wins from 14 career starts, Tempted will head into The Everest with an impressive record. Her unbeaten season, recent Group 2 victories and familiarity with Randwick will provide the foundation for her challenge when she returns to the course on October 17.

Tempted The Everest campaign will see Godolphin’s homebred mare represent its slot at Randwick on October 17 after an unbeaten 2026 season and a series of major Group victories.
