Mysore Race Club staged a seven-race programme on Thursday, September 24, 2026, with the afternoon card featuring contests over 1,200m, 1,400m and 1,600m. The H. H. Sri Chamaraja Wadiyar Memorial Trophy provided the feature event of the meeting, with Masato securing victory for jockey Rayan Ahmed R. and trainer S John. Mystic Dew, Pette’s Choice, Mr Karnataka, Unforgettable Star, Tipped Off and Mandolin completed the list of winners. The meeting began at 2:00pm and concluded at 5:00pm.
Mystic Dew opened the programme with a victory in The Indradhanush Plate. Ridden by Y.S. Srinath and trained by Aravind G., the winner completed the race in 1:39.481. Ms S Ganapathy and Daulat Chhabria were the owners. Best Of Us finished second, while Purple Martini secured third place.
The Haveri Plate produced a win for Pette’s Choice. A. Ayaz Khan partnered the winner for trainer Vishal Yadav, with the race completed in 1:25.614. Mr Akhil Raghav M P owned Pette’s Choice. Dear Lady took second position and Sheer Elegance finished third.
Mr Karnataka then secured The Psychic Strength Plate (Division II). Shyam Kumar (Jr) rode the winner for trainer Ruban P, with Mr Purushotham B K as the owner. Mr Karnataka stopped the clock at 1:11.793. Windborne finished second, while Red Hills took third.
The Ranga Family Cup went to Unforgettable Star, who was ridden by Akshay Kumar and trained by Rajesh Narredu. The winner completed the race in 1:36.897. The ownership was recorded as Villoo Poonawalla Racing & Breeding Pvt Ltd, represented by Dr Cyrus S Poonawalla and Mr Adar C Poonawalla. Glorious Strides finished second and Sassy was third.
The H. H. Sri Chamaraja Wadiyar Memorial Trophy provided the main race of the afternoon, with Masato securing the honours. Rayan Ahmed R. partnered the winner for trainer S John, and Masato completed the race in 1:22.887. Mr P Arun Kumar was the owner. Rise Again finished second, while Excellent Lass took third place. The Mysore Race Club had listed the trophy as the feature event of the day.
The Shimsha Plate followed with a victory for Tipped Off. Yash Narredu rode the winner for trainer James Mckeown, with Tipped Off recording a winning time of 1:38.328. The owners were Mr Kersi H Vachha, Sarainaga Racing Pvt Ltd, Mrs P J Vazifdar and Mr M Rishad. Wanganui finished second and Supreme Success secured third.
