Mysore Race Club will host a seven-race Flat meeting on Thursday, 24 September 2026, with the afternoon programme beginning at 2:00pm and concluding at 5:00pm. The card features contests over distances from 1,200m to 1,600m, with races for horses across several rating categories. The programme includes Class I, Class III, Class IV and Class V events, with the H. H. Sri Chamaraja Wadiyar Memorial Trophy providing the main feature of the afternoon and carrying the highest prize fund of Rs.10,50,000.
The opening contest at 2:00pm will be The Indradhanush Plate, a Class V race for horses rated 00 to 25 over 1,600m, with Rs.3,75,000 on offer. Mystic Dew, rated 25, will be ridden by Y.S. Srinath for trainer Aravind G., while Carolina Springs, rated 23, has Anil Baandal aboard for Suraj Prasad Shaw. D Roman Power, also rated 23, will be partnered by K. Sai Kiran for Bipin V Salvi, and Kallipos, rated 22, will have Jitendra Singh in the saddle for Uthaiah M M. Best Of Us, rated 19, will be ridden by Mohd. Talib for Narredu S, while Purple Martini, also rated 19, has Rajesh K. aboard for Mansoor Khan. King Carlos, rated 15, will be partnered by R. Rakesh for Mansoor Khan, who has two runners in the contest. Salt N Pepper, also rated 15, will have Shamaz Shareef aboard for C D Monnappa, while Moonlight Speed, rated 7, completes the field with Inayat in the saddle for trainer Rakesh.
At 2:30pm, The Haveri Plate will bring together 12 runners in a Class IV contest for horses rated 20 to 45 over 1,400m. The race carries Rs.4,50,000. Time For Victory, rated 41, will be ridden by Rajesh Kumar M for Somashekar K, while Sheer Elegance, rated 40, has S. Sachin aboard for Ramanathan R. Truth In Wine, also rated 40, will be partnered by Mohd. Talib for Aditya K, and Momentous, rated 39, has Bharat Mal in the saddle for Bobby M. Dear Lady, rated 37, will be ridden by Abhishek Mhatre for Uthaiah M M, while Blue Origin, rated 35, has M J Gautam Rajurs aboard for Ranjeet Shinde. Cloud Jumper, rated 34, will have Anil Baandal in the saddle for Suraj Prasad Shaw, while Natural Speed, also rated 34, will be ridden by Shamaz Shareef for Mansoor Khan. Polar Wind, rated 32, has Faiz aboard for C D Monnappa, and Higher Love, rated 31, will be partnered by S. Antony Raj for Dhyan Subbaiah K. Pette’s Choice, rated 29, will have A. The 3:00pm race, The Psychic Strength Plate Division II, will be contested over 1,200m by horses rated 40 to 65. The Class III event carries Rs.5,75,000. Choice, rated 50, will be ridden by Faiz for Mandanna K S, while Dufy, rated 48, has Shamaz Shareef aboard for Krishna P. Windborne, also rated 48, will be partnered by Mohd. Talib for Vinesh V Naik. Golden Bird, rated 47, has N. Darshan in the saddle for Helleal Moses R, while Saint Emilion, also rated 47, will be ridden by S. Sachin for Suraj Prasad Shaw. Sira, rated 47, has S. Mubarak aboard for Mansoor Khan. Red Hills, rated 46, will be partnered by Shreyas Singh for C D Monnappa, while Miraculous Girl, rated 45, has M J Gautam Rajurs aboard for Ranjeet Shinde. The Ranga Family Cup at 3:30pm will see six runners compete over 1,600m in another Class III contest for horses rated 40 to 65, with Rs.5,75,000 available. Exuberance, rated 58, will be partnered by K. Sai Kiran for Arvind V. Glorious Strides, rated 57, has Darshan R.N aboard for Narredu S, while Sassy, rated 48, will be ridden by Rajesh Kumar M for G. Y. Rajesh Babu. Lasya, rated 46, has Vinod Shinde aboard for Aravind G., while Straordinario, rated 44, will be partnered by Faiz for Suresh B. Unforgettable Star, rated 41, completes the field with Akshay Kumar riding for Rajesh Narredu.
The feature race of the afternoon, the H. H. Sri Chamaraja Wadiyar Memorial Trophy, will take place at 4:00pm. The Class I handicap is for horses rated 80 and above and will be run over 1,400m for a total prize fund of Rs.10,50,000. Crown Drive, rated 104, will be ridden by Abhishek Mhatre for Suresh B, while Rise Again, rated 96, has Y.S. Srinath aboard for Fahad Khan. Iron Clad, rated 94, will be partnered by Rafique S K for Surender G T, and Tom Cruiser, rated 93, has Mohd. Talib in the saddle for Helleal Moses R. Touch Of Grey, also rated 93, will be ridden by G. Praveen for Narredu S, while Masato, rated 90, has Rayan Ahmed R. aboard for S John. Decacorn, rated 89, will be partnered by A. Theia, rated 33, has Anil Baandal aboard for Bobby M, while Michiko, rated 32, will be partnered by P. Kiran Rai for G. Y. Rajesh Babu. Tipped Off, rated 32, has Yash Narredu in the saddle for James Mckeown, while Tyaaraa, rated 31, will be ridden by Vinod Shinde for Faraz Arshad. Natural Queen, rated 30, has Rajesh K. aboard for Mansoor Khan, while Shining Dawn, also rated 30, will be partnered by P. Trevor for Darius R Byramji. Royal Tribute, rated 27, has A. The Mysore meeting will therefore provide a varied afternoon of racing, with seven contests covering 1,200m, 1,400m and 1,600m. The H. H. Sri Chamaraja Wadiyar Memorial Trophy will stand out as the richest event, while the remaining races will provide opportunities across several classes and rating bands. A broad group of trainers and jockeys will be represented throughout the programme, making Thursday’s card a comprehensive afternoon of Flat racing at Mysore.
