The 2026 Inglis Ready2Race Sale has taken shape as one of the most closely watched two-year-old offerings in Australasia, with a 321-lot catalogue bringing together established bloodlines, emerging sires and a strong collection of young horses from Australia and New Zealand.

The catalogue is now available, with the sale scheduled for October 15 at Riverside Stables in Warwick Farm. The current Inglis listing confirms all 321 lots are catalogued for the single-session sale.

Inglis Ready2Race Sale 2026 is the focus for racing and bloodstock followers looking ahead to this year’s juvenile sale.

The strength of the catalogue is underlined by its recent record. Graduates from the 2025 edition already include Group 1 winner Tron Bolt, Stakes winner Hard Kick and Listed winner Queen Regent. The wider roll of successful graduates includes Group 1 winner Libertad, dual Group 1 winner Nettoyer and performers such as Democracy Manifest, Tavi Time, Strait Acer, Cristal Clear, Forgot You, Allibor and Malkovich.

The sale has also developed an international footprint. Hong Kong Classic Cup winner Rubylot, along with performers including Crimson Flash, Handsome Bo Bo, Wishful Thinker, Super Wealthy and Sugar Sugar, feature among its overseas graduates, while Guru Fight went on to win the Perak Derby in Malaysia.

For 2026, 232 of the 321 lots were acquired specifically for the sale at auctions, with the remainder including a significant number of homebred youngsters. The catalogue draws from a broad spread of established sire lines, including I Am Invincible, Zoustar, Frankel, Gun Runner, Siyouni, Toronado, Too Darn Hot, Home Affairs, Ole Kirk, Savabeel, Harry Angel, So You Think, Super Seth, Wootton Bassett, Starspangledbanner, Dundeel, Exceed And Excel, The Autumn Sun, Street Boss, Written Tycoon and Ghaiyyath.

There is also a new generation of stallions represented, with first-crop youngsters by Anamoe, Artorius, In The Congo and Diatonic among those included.

Pedigree depth is another feature. The catalogue contains 111 lots out of black-type performers or producers, while several entries are siblings to notable Group 1 winners including Private Life, Communist, Tashi and Captivant. Other closely related horses include those connected with Stretan Ruler, Gunnison, Cosmic Force, King Of Pop, Roselyn’s Star, Arabian Summer, Kibou, The Playwright, Ikasara, Clemenceau and Phantom Major.

The build-up to the sale will begin on the track. Breeze-up sessions are scheduled for Warwick Farm on September 25, Taupo on September 28 and Wangaratta on September 29, giving prospective purchasers an opportunity to assess the youngsters before sale day. Inglis has confirmed that footage from the breeze-up sessions will be uploaded within 48 hours of each session.

The timing also places the sale firmly within Sydney’s major spring racing period. The 2026 Ready2Race Sale is scheduled for October 15, two days before The Everest, making it part of a particularly busy week for the Australian racing and bloodstock industry.

The 2025 edition provided further momentum. Inglis reported a gross of $20.017 million, a median of $100,000 and an average of $151,644, while the clearance rate reached 81 per cent. The top lot sold for $900,000, then the highest-priced two-year-old sold at an Australasian breeze-up sale.

With 321 lots now assembled, the attention will turn to the breeze-up sessions before the catalogue moves to Riverside Stables in October. The combination of proven families, established and first-season sires, and graduates already making their mark on the track gives the 2026 renewal a substantial platform.
