Leopardstown will host a seven-race programme on Thursday, 20 August 2026, with the meeting scheduled to run from 4:56pm to 8:00pm. The card will offer prize money ranging from €15,000 to €50,000 and will feature maiden and handicap contests, with the €50,000 Listed Vinnie Roe Stakes providing the main attraction over 1m6f.
Opening proceedings at 4:56pm will be The Tote Guarantee Irish EBF Fillies Maiden. The €22,000 contest will be run over seven furlongs and will feature Bougie Gals, Brooq, Ever My Treasure, Fair Say and Isle Of Capri among the expected runners, alongside several others. The opening event will provide the first test of the afternoon for the field.
Turning to the second contest, The Irish EBF Series Maiden will be held at 5:27pm over seven furlongs. The race will carry €25,000 in prize money and will include Kilconnell, Letmeentertainyou, Battle Ready, Sovreigns Joy and Melchizedek among the expected runners. A number of other horses will also be set to contest the second race on the card.
Moving into handicap company, The Unio Employee Benefits Handicap will take place at 6:00pm. Worth €15,000, the seven-furlong contest will feature Faoladh, Altimara, Naoi, Rappell and La La Lucrative, with further runners also expected to line up. The race will provide another opportunity for the field to compete over the shorter distance before the card’s feature event.
Taking centre stage at 6:30pm will be The Irish EBF Vinnie Roe Stakes (Listed). The feature race will carry €50,000 in prize money and will cover 1m 6f, making it the longest and most valuable contest on the programme. Abbotsford, Cannes, Highwayman and Madbadanddangerous will be among the expected runners, with the extended trip set to place considerable emphasis on stamina.
Following the Listed feature, The Money Back Daily Specials Handicap will get underway at 7:00pm. The €20,000 handicap will be contested over 1m 5f, with Satono Chevalier, Sea Coral, Ehteyat, Pavilion End and Ben Hur among the expected runners. The longer-distance event will continue the emphasis on staying ability during the latter part of the meeting.
As the programme moves towards its conclusion, The Leopardstown Golf, Padel & Range Maiden will be run at 7:30pm. The €15,000 contest will cover one mile and will feature Lonelyharbourwall, Scorcher’s Son, Aghadrum Boy, Aiteall and Eldorado Glory among the expected runners. The race will provide a return to a shorter distance after the two staying contests.
Bringing the evening to a close, The Dublin To Bahrain Fillies Handicap will be held at 8:00pm over one mile. Worth €25,000, the final race will include Pink Oxalis, Mallavelly, Glory To Be, Duchess Of Kenli and Thrifty Of Digby among the expected runners, alongside other entries. The contest will complete the seven-race programme at Leopardstown.
