The prestigious Cork Racecourse will present a well-appointed seven-race programme on Friday, 14 August, with proceedings scheduled to begin at 4:53 PM and conclude at 8:15 PM. The Cork Race Cards 14 August will encompass maiden and handicap contests alongside two Listed events and the €70,000 Irish Stallion Farms EBF Give Thanks Stakes (Group 3). Distances will range from five furlongs to one mile and four furlongs, providing a varied programme across the afternoon and evening.

The afternoon will commence at 4:53 PM with The Irish Stallion Farms EBF Maiden, a five-furlong contest carrying €22,000 in prize money. Always Magic, Dhikola, Eagle Eclipse, Give Me Liberty and Invincible Irish will be among the runners scheduled to take part, with additional horses completing the field. The opening contest will provide the first opportunity for the meeting’s maiden runners to make their mark.

The programme will then progress at 5:28 PM with The OCS Recruitment Handicap, which will be staged over five furlongs and will carry €12,000 in prize money. Kiss Don’t Tell, Amerilis, Gonna Be Golden, The Right One and Cashel Blue will be among the horses scheduled to line up. Further runners will complete the field for the second race, which will maintain the sprinting emphasis of the early card.

A more distinguished test will follow at 6:03 PM when The Irish Stallion Farms EBF Firville Stakes (Listed) will take centre stage. The €50,000 contest will be contested over seven furlongs, with Alpine Wedding, Alwaysanangel, Beibhinn, Celtic Moon and Damsel In Distress among the listed entries. The race will provide the first Listed examination of the programme and will represent a significant step up in class from the opening two contests.

The quality of the meeting will remain high at 6:35 PM with The NFP Irish EBF Platinum Stakes (Listed). Run over seven furlongs, the race will offer €50,000 in prize money. Fort Vega, Keke, Carolina Jetstream, Nancy J and Princess Child will be among the runners expected to feature, with additional horses also set to contest the second Listed event of the evening.

The centrepiece of the programme will arrive at 7:10 PM with The Irish Stallion Farms EBF Give Thanks Stakes (Group 3). Carrying the evening’s highest prize of €70,000, the race will be run over one mile and four furlongs. Ankara, Bosphorus Rose, Nyra, Snapretend and Amelia Earhart will be among the runners scheduled to contest the Group 3 feature. The longer distance will provide a substantial test of stamina and will make this the most prominent staying event on the card.

The penultimate contest will be The Irish Stallion Farms EBF Fillies Maiden, scheduled for 7:45 PM. The race will be run over one mile, two furlongs and 90 yards and will carry €15,000 in prize money. Chosen One, Elusive In Mayo, Emily Estherfaye, Fairylike and Garden Party will be among the fillies set to compete. The extended distance will provide a notable examination as the Cork programme moves towards its conclusion.

Bringing proceedings to a close at 8:15 PM will be The Fitzgerald Construction Building “A” Rated Homes Handicap. The final race will cover one mile and will offer €10,000 in prize money. Launch Time, Sheamus Seimhiu, Half Cut, James Henry and Glamazon will be among the runners scheduled to participate, with further horses completing the field. The one-mile finale will round off a card that will have combined sprinting tests with middle- and longer-distance contests.

The Cork Race Cards 14 August will present seven races featuring maiden, handicap, Listed and Group 3 competition. The €70,000 Give Thanks Stakes will stand as the principal feature, while the Firville Stakes and Platinum Stakes will provide two further €50,000 Listed highlights. The programme will begin with five-furlong contests before progressing through seven furlongs and longer distances, concluding with a one-mile handicap at 8:15 PM.
