Monday Evening Racing Returns to Windsor with Six-Race Fixture

The Monday evening meeting at Windsor Racecourse will feature a six-race programme on Monday, 3 August, with the action set to begin at 6:00 PM. The fixture will feature Class 4, Class 5 and Class 6 contests across distances ranging from 5f 21y to 1m 3f 125y. Prize money will range from £6,600 to £10,000, while the evening programme will run through to the final race at 8:30 PM.

Kicking off the evening card, The A1R Services Ltd Amateur Jockeys’ Handicap Stakes will take place at 6:00 PM. The Class 5 contest will be run over 1m 3f 125y and will carry £8,400 in prize money. Eight runners will be scheduled to line up for the opening race, with I’d Go Maniac, Market House, Green Team, Fast Steps, Jodhpur Blue and Shahbaz among the declared names.

The second contest on the Windsor programme will be The Wasdell Group Fillies’ Restricted Novice Stakes, which will be scheduled for 6:30 PM. The Class 5 race will cover 6f 12y and will offer £8,000 in prize money. Seven runners will be set to compete, with Lovely Dark Angel, Proper Naughty, Decem Carolinae, Purple Dream, Polly The Sniper and Rocsane among the listed entries.

Focus will then shift to the meeting’s Class 4 contest, The Wasdell Group EBF Maiden Stakes, which will be held at 7:00 PM. The race will be run over 5f 21y and will carry the evening’s highest prize fund of £10,000. Eight runners will be scheduled to take part, with Flagraiser, Yazoo, Ardnamurchan, Gris de Chine, Just Dreaming and Livvys Edge among those named in the field.

As the programme reaches its midpoint, The Happy Birthday Tyne Patterson Fillies’ Handicap Stakes will be staged at 7:30 PM. The Class 5 contest will be contested over 6f 12y for £8,400 in prize money. Five runners will be scheduled to compete, including Independent Expert, Saucy Jane, Q T Pie, Havana Halo and Lahina Bay.

The card will then move into its penultimate contest, with The Talk Sport Classified Stakes set to take place at 8:00 PM. The Class 6 race will be run over 1m 2f 26y and will offer £6,600 in prize money. Twelve runners will be scheduled to contest the race, with Freedom Bay, Kaaress, Letsbeatsepsis, Moonlit Cloud, My O My and Tiger Beetle among the declared names.

Rounding off the six-race evening, The Talk Sport Radio Handicap Stakes will be held at 8:30 PM. The Class 6 contest will cover 1m 57y and will carry £7,200 in prize money. Nine runners will be scheduled to line up, including Ararat, Chilly Breeze, Dark Rosa, Flag Carrier, Benavente and Havana Club.

The evening at Windsor will offer a varied programme of six races, with contests spread across three class levels and several different distances. The Wasdell Group EBF Maiden Stakes will provide the highest prize money at £10,000, while The Talk Sport Classified Stakes will feature the largest field with 12 scheduled runners. The opening 1m 3f 125y handicap will provide the longest test of the evening, with the programme set to close over 1m 57y.
