Racing in the colours of Mr & Mrs Vijay B Shirke & Mr Jay V Shirke rep Horse Haven Breeding and Racing Private Limited, Mrs Daisy K D B Mehta & Mr Dara K Mehta rep Darashaw Bloodstock Pvt Ltd, and Mrs Liane Luthria & Mr Vispi R Patel, the accomplished performer delivered another notable success.
Settled comfortably through the early stages, KINGS GAMBIT travelled fluently before Yash Narredu gradually increased the tempo entering the straight. Responding willingly when called upon, the seasoned campaigner produced a sustained finishing burst over the final furlong, pulling clear with authority to secure the prestigious trophy. Trainer P. Shroff once again showcased his ability to prepare elite middle-distance performers, while the winner displayed the stamina and composure expected in top-class company.
DREAM ALLIANCE, ridden by Antony Raj S. for trainer Imtiaz A. Sait, finished a creditable second in 2:06:990 after chasing the winner throughout the closing stages. Stablemate RED BISHOP, also trained by P. Shroff and partnered by Vivek G., completed the placings in 2:07:454, ensuring the leading trio produced a quality finish in one of the afternoon’s feature contests.
