Owners And Trainers Benefit As Inglis Xtra Bonus Series Passes $6.4 Million

Inglis Xtra Bonus Series celebrates $6.4 million milestone after two seasons
By | 01 Aug 2026 | Mumbai

The second season of the Inglis Xtra Bonus Series has concluded with an impressive $6.4 million already distributed to participants, underlining the growing impact of the initiative since its introduction two years ago.

Designed to create more opportunities for owners of Inglis graduates, the series has provided a pathway for horses to secure additional rewards alongside their regular race earnings. The programme has continued to expand its influence across Australian racing, with hundreds of owners and dozens of trainers benefiting from its success.

Inglis Xtra Bonus Series has paid out $6.4 million to participants after two seasons of competition.

The concept centres around 50 maiden races held annually across Australia, with one eligible event scheduled almost every week. Winners of these races receive an additional $100,000 bonus, provided they meet the required criteria, including being an Inglis graduate from 2024 onwards, being three years or older, and being paid up for the Inglis Race Series.

The series has reached a wide audience since its launch, with more than 560 owners sharing in bonus payments and 47 trainers producing horses capable of securing the additional rewards. Victories have been recorded across New South Wales, Victoria, South Australia, Queensland and the Australian Capital Territory.

The Xtra Bonus Series forms part of the broader $12 million Inglis Race Series, which offers a range of opportunities for eligible graduates. The wider programme includes races and bonuses such as the $2 million Inglis Millennium, $1 million Pink Bonus Series, $750,000 Inglis Sprint, $400,000 Inglis Banner, $400,000 Inglis Nursery, $250,000 Inglis Bracelet and $200,000 Inglis Challenge.

The continued growth of the series reflects the increasing focus on providing more racing opportunities throughout a horse’s early career. With regular bonus races available across different states, the initiative has become a significant feature for connections of eligible graduates.

Registrations for the Inglis Race Series for 2024-born foals closed on July 31, with the next season of Xtra Bonus races set to begin shortly. The programme continues to offer another avenue for owners and trainers to compete for additional prize money throughout the racing calendar.
