Hamilton Park Racecourse will stage a competitive seven-race card on Saturday, 1 August, featuring a varied evening programme of maiden, novice and handicap contests. The meeting will begin at 5:50pm and will include races across sprint and middle-distance trips, with two-year-olds and older horses set to compete. The fixture will offer a total prize fund of £88,100, with several quality fields expected to take part throughout the evening.
Hamilton Race Cards 1 August
The opening race of the fixture will be THE SCULLION LAW ‘LAW FIRM FOR LIFE’ EBF MAIDEN STAKES (CLASS 4) (GBB RACE) at 5:50pm. The contest will be run over a distance of 6f 6y and will carry prize money of £11,500. The five-runner field will feature two-year-olds Bearing Gifts, California School, Henley On Thames, Polymer and Thanks Harry.
The action will continue with THE STRATHMORE HOTELS LTD NOVICE STAKES (CLASS 3) (GBB/GBBPLUS RACE) at 6:25pm. The 1m 3f 15y contest will offer £13,500 in prize money and will bring together five runners aged three years and older. Kissmehoneyhoney, Tiernan, According To Mark, Sottsfield and Midnight Serenade will be among the horses set to line up in the novice event.
The third contest on the card will be THE PDM HANDICAP STAKES (CLASS 4) (GBBPLUS RACE), scheduled for 7:00pm. The race will take place over 1m 5f 16y and will feature an 11-runner field competing for prize money of £10,100. Cabrera, High Point, Secret Force, Gentle Warrior and Dunkeld Dreamer will be among the runners expected to contest the staying event.
The feature contest of the meeting will be THE CUBE GLASS ‘SOBA’ HANDICAP STAKES (CLASS 2) at 7:30pm. The 5f 7y race will carry the highest prize money of the Hamilton Park card at £30,000 and will attract a strong field of 14 runners aged three years and older. Corolla Point, Purosangue, Arklow Lad, Another Baar and Solar Aclaim will be among the horses scheduled to compete in the sprint contest.
The fifth race of the evening will be THE BLITZ CLEANING COMMERCIAL CLEANING HANDICAP STAKES (CLASS 5), which will begin at 8:00pm. The contest will cover a distance of 5f 7y and will offer prize money of £8,000. A total of 12 runners will feature in the field, including Hundred Caps, Stirrup Cup, Tiriac, King’s Crown and Little Mi Mi.
The penultimate event will be THE GSS CONTRACTS HANDICAP STAKES (CLASS 5) at 8:30pm. The 1m 68y contest will include 10 runners aged three years and older and will provide prize money of £8,000. Rajapour, Intrusively, Sunriseontheboyne, Mwafaq and Midsummer Storm will be among the names set to take part.
The Hamilton Park programme will conclude with THE WELLMAN CARS HAMILTON HANDICAP STAKES (CLASS 6) at 9:00pm. The final race will be run over 1m 1f 35y and will feature nine runners competing for prize money of £7,000. Braes of Doune, Pisanello, Hostelry, Defence Missile and Jenson Benson will complete the field for the closing contest.
The Hamilton Park fixture will provide a balanced evening of racing, combining opportunities for developing horses with competitive handicap events across different distances.
