The Royal Western India Turf Club (RWITC) continued the Pune Meeting, 2nd Day, Friday, 24th July 2026, with the 9th Race – The Beyond Expectation Plate, a Terms race for horses aged four years old and over over 1400 metres, run at 5:00 PM. In another notable Pune race result 24th July, BOHEMIAN RHAPSODY produced a polished performance under Aditya Waydande to score for trainer Hosidar Daji. Racing in the colours of Mr Zaheer Lalkaka, Mr Vikram Bachhawat rep Bachhawat Farms Pvt Ltd, Mr Homi D. Bhagwagar, Mr Arzaan H. Bhagwagar and Mr Hosidar Daji, the winner finished strongly to add another success to the connections’ campaign.
Settled comfortably through the early stages, BOHEMIAN RHAPSODY travelled smoothly before improving position approaching the home bend. Aditya Waydande timed his challenge to perfection, asking the gelding for his effort at the right moment. Responding willingly, the Hosidar Daji-trained runner quickened clear inside the final furlong and maintained his advantage to the winning post with authority.
TROPICAL PARADISE chased the winner home to finish second under N. S. Parmar for trainer M. K. Jadhav, while YULETIDE, partnered by C. S. Jodha and trained by Narendra Lagad, completed the placings in third after staying on steadily. Official finishing times for the race were not available at the time of publication.
With another race successfully concluded, attention now turns to the remaining contests on the Pune card as connections continue their pursuit of valuable victories during the RWITC meeting.
