The Royal Western India Turf Club (RWITC) witnessed another fine performance during the Pune Meeting, 2nd Day, Friday, 24th July 2026, as MINARI (J: Akshay Kumar) secured victory in the 3rd Race – The Dr. Anil Kumar Salver DIV II, a Class IV race for horses rated 20 to 46 (0 to 19 eligible) over 1200 metres at 02:00 PM. Racing in the colours of Mr Mukul Sonawala, Mr D R Thacker rep. DT Racing & Breeders LLP, Mr Chetan Shah, Mr Girish S. Mehta & Mr Sunil S. Majithia, MINARI produced a confident performance to claim the top honours for trainer Imtiaz A. Sait. This Pune race result 24th July added another memorable moment to the RWITC’s Pune Meeting card.
MINARI travelled smoothly throughout the contest and displayed excellent control when the pace began to rise in the closing stages. Under a well-timed ride from Akshay Kumar, the winner found the necessary acceleration in the final furlong and maintained the advantage to secure a convincing success. The combination of smart positioning and a strong finish helped MINARI outpace the rivals and register a notable victory.
The runner-up position went to ORGANISED CHAOS (J: A. Sandesh, T: Adhirajsingh Jodha), who stayed competitive throughout the race before finishing behind the winner. CHARISSE (J: Kirtish Bhagat, T: P. Shroff) completed the top three after putting in a determined effort in the final stages of the 1200-metre event.
