The Bangalore Turf Club (BTC) welcomed racegoers for the Bangalore Summer Meeting, 24th day, Sunday, 19th July 2026, with The Karnataka Police Trophy opening the afternoon’s programme at 1:00 PM. The Class IV contest for horses rated 20 to 45 over 1400 metres produced a polished performance from ASHWA NEW YORK, who justified strong support under Darshan R.N to provide trainer S. Narredu and owner Mr Ravinder Pal Singh Chauhan with an impressive success. This Bangalore race result 19th July marked an encouraging start to the day’s racing programme at BTC.
Breaking alertly and settling into a comfortable rhythm, ASHWA NEW YORK travelled with confidence throughout the early stages before being asked for a decisive effort approaching the home straight. Darshan R.N judged the pace well, positioning the gelding perfectly before producing a sustained finishing run that carried him clear of his rivals. The victory reflected both the horse’s determination and the careful preparation by trainer S. Narredu.
JOLIE’S STAR finished second with Vivek G. in the saddle for trainer Kishan Thomas. K, staying on well in the closing stages to secure the runner-up position. GIFTED FALCON completed the placings in third under Shamaz Shareef for trainer G Sandhu, producing another honest effort. Official finishing times for the placed runners were not available at the time of publication.
The Bangalore Summer Meeting now moves on to The Bold Gesture Plate Div I, scheduled for 1:30 PM, as the afternoon’s action continues with another competitive contest before attention gradually turns towards the feature races later in the programme.
