The 15th day of winter races 2024-25 at Hyderabad Race Club (HRC) proved to be an exciting one with back to back eight races with total prize money of over ₹84,00,000 won by the contenders in total. The first race of the day was the Attracters Plate Div-2, which was open exclusively to 3-year-old horses. The race started at 12:40 pm which covered the distance of 1200m .
The total pool prize were ₹12,25,000 which were distributed among top 6 players and the winner, Pacific Heights, which was trained by L D Silva and ridden by jockey S Saqlain, crossed the finish line in a time of 1:13.73, claiming the first-place prize of ₹ 5,51,250. The second spot went to Emerald Touch, trained by N Rawal and ridden by jockey A Ashhad Asbar, with a time of 1:14.13, earning ₹3,06,250. Sharanga, trained by Bharath Singh and with Abhay Singh in the saddle, finished third in 1:14.69, securing ₹2,45,000. The prize money for the fourth, fifth, and sixth positions amounted to ₹61,250, ₹36,750, and ₹24,500, respectively, rounding out the competitive race.
The second race of the day at HRC was the Astonish Plate Div-2, a Class 4 handicap race for horses rated between 20 and 45, aged 5 years and older. The total distance of Race was 1200 m which was started at 1:15 pm the total pool prize was ₹6,50,000 and that was distributed among top 6 players the winner was Swiss girl which was trained by imran Khan and ridden by Jockey Akshay Kumar won the victory time of 1:13:86, claiming the winner’s prize of ₹2,92,500. Blue Pantheress trained by G Shashikanth, and jockeyed by H M Akshay claimed the second position with a time of 1:14.10; prize money collected was ₹1,62,500. Morning Mist owned by Ananta Vatsalya, taken into the ride by Deepak Singh, took the third with a time of 1:14.14 and took ₹1,30,000. Other prize money went to the fourth, fifth, and sixth position finishers who were collected ₹32,500, ₹19,500, and ₹13,000, respectively.
The third race was the Attractress Plate Div-1, a maiden race for 3-year-old horses, where no allowances could be claimed. The race covered a distance of 1200 meters and took place at 1:50 PM, with a total prize pool of ₹12,25,000 distributed among the top six finishers. Cherie Chevalier, trained by K S V Prasad Raju and ridden by jockey P Sai Kumar, bagged the event, clocking 1:14.00 for the winner’s purse of ₹5,51,250. Double Bubble, trained by D Netto and ridden by Kuldeep Singh, bagged the second place with a timing of 1:14.77 and got a purse of ₹3,06,250. Moonlite Rose, trained by L D Silva and ridden by S Saqlain, came third with a time of 1:14.86 for a prize money of ₹2,45,000. The balance prize money of the rest were ₹61,250, ₹36,750, and ₹24,500 for the fourth, fifth, and sixth places respectively.
The fourth race at HRC was the Brave Hunter Cup Div-1, a Class 3 handicap race for horses rated between 40 and 65, aged 6 years and older. The race, which covered a distance of 1100 meters, took place at 2:25 PM with a total prize pool of ₹7,40,000 distributed among the top six finishers.
First Class, trained by Magan Singh and ridden by jockey Mukesh Kumar, won the race with a time of 1:07.69, claiming the winner’s prize of ₹3,33,000. In a close contest for second place, Crimson Rose, trained by N Ravinder Singh and jockeyed by B R Kumar, finished with a time of 1:07.77, earning ₹1,85,000. Winning Attitude, trained by L D Silva and ridden by Akshay Kumar, secured third place with a time of 1:07.93, winning ₹1,48,000. The remaining positions were awarded ₹37,000 for fourth, ₹22,200 for fifth, and ₹14,800 for sixth place.
In the fifth race which was the Astonish Plate Div-1, a Class 4 handicap race for horses rated between 20 and 45, aged 5 years and older, the prize money was ₹6,50,000. The race was for distance of 1200 meters and Silver Lining, trained by L D Silva and ridden by jockey Afroz Khan, emerged as the winner by completing the race in a time of 1:14.08 and secured the winner’s prize of ₹2,92,500.
Char Ek Char, trained by M F Ali Khan and jockeyed by Mohit Singh, finished in second place with a time of 1:14.27, earning ₹1,62,500. Inderdhanush, trained by A Imran Khan and ridden by Deepak Singh, claimed third place with a time of 1:14.73, winning ₹1,30,000. The remaining positions were awarded ₹32,500 for fourth, ₹19,500 for fifth, and ₹13,000 for sixth place.
In the sixth race which was Sri A S Krishna Memorial Cup, Class 1 handicap race for horses rated 80 and above, with horses rated 60 were in the foray. In the 2400 meters race total prize pool of ₹12,25,000 was distributed among the top six finishers. Truth, trained by S Sreekant and ridden by jockey Akshay Kumar, won the race with a time of 2:34.94, earning ₹5,51,250. Nightmare, trained by G Sandeep and ridden by Mukesh Kumar, finished in second place with a time of 2:35.39, securing ₹3,06,250. Siddharth, trained by M Srinivas Reddy and jockeyed by P Trevor, placed third with a time of 2:35.74, winning ₹2,45,000. The remaining positions were awarded ₹61,250 for fourth, ₹36,750 for fifth, and ₹24,500 for sixth place.
The seventh race was the prestigious Byerly Turk Million (Gr.3), a term race exclusively for 3-year-old fillies, with no allowances allowed. The race distance was 1200 meters. It was covered at 4:10 PM with a prize money of ₹19,80,000, split among the four top finishers. Gachchhatu, trained by N Rawal and ridden by jockey Neeraj Rawal, won the race in a time of 1:11.97 for the winner’s prize money of ₹1,188,000. See the Light, trained by S S Attaollahi and ridden by P Trevor, was second with a time of 1:12.42, for which it fetched ₹4,78,000. Turya, trained by Bharath Singh and ridden by Mukesh Kumar, finished third with a time of 1:12.65, fetching ₹2,14,000. The fourth place got ₹1,00,000. This thrilling contest underlined the talent and promise of the young fillies on display.
The eighth and final race was the Brave Hunter Cup Div-2, a Class 3 handicap race for horses rated between 40 and 65, aged 6 years and above. The race was over a distance of 1100 meters and was held at 4:45 PM with a total prize money of ₹7,40,000 shared by the first six finishers. Sopranos, trained by A Imran Khan and ridden by jockey P Sai Kumar, won at 1:06.32 to take home the winner’s purse of ₹3,33,000. Challenger, trained by K Satheesh and ridden by Nakhat Singh, finished second at 1:06.54 to take home ₹1,85,000. Sweet Dancer, trained by Ananta Vatsalya and ridden by P Ajeeth Kumar, finished third at 1:06.63 to take home ₹1,48,000. The rest of the positions fetched ₹37,000 for fourth, ₹22,200 for fifth, and ₹14,800 for sixth, completing a thrilling contest.
