The Class III contest for Indian horses rated 40 to 66 (20 to 39 eligible) was run over 1200 metres at 03:30 PM, where the Adhirajsingh Jodha-trained mare produced a polished performance under Antony Raj S., stopping the clock in 1:08.535. Racing for Mr Jaisal Singh, Mr Geoffrey B. Nagpal, Mr Angad Singh rep. Mukteshwar Rac LLP & Mr Maloji Bhosale, LADY SCARLET added another notable success to the afternoon card.
The Pune race result 17th July continued to showcase the quality of racing at RWITC, with LADY SCARLET displaying sharp early speed before maintaining a decisive advantage in the closing stages. Antony Raj S. judged the pace to perfection, positioning the winner prominently throughout before asking for the final effort inside the last furlong. Responding willingly, LADY SCARLET stretched clear to secure victory in convincing fashion, giving trainer Adhirajsingh Jodha another memorable success on the opening day of the Pune season.
ASHWA GYPSY, partnered by Haridas Gore and trained by Sanjay Kolse, finished a commendable second in 1:09.634 after staying on steadily in the straight. CINDERELLA’S DREAM, ridden by Amyn Merchant for trainer Faisal A. Abbas, completed the placings in 1:10.029, rounding off a competitive finish among the leading trio.
With The Columbia Plate decided, attention now shifts to the 5th Race – The D. K. Ashish Salver, scheduled for 04:00 PM, as the Pune Meeting continues with more competitive action on the opening day’s programme.
