The Bangalore Turf Club (BTC) hosted another exciting contest during the Bangalore Summer Meeting, 21st Day, Saturday, 11th July 2026, as Race No. 6 – The Coromandel Gromor Bangalore Million, a 1400-metre feature, was run at 4:00 PM. In what proved to be another memorable Bangalore race result 11th July, IRON MIRAGE produced a polished performance under Akshay Kumar to score a convincing victory for trainer Prasanna Kumar, representing the ownership of Mr Meka Yugandhar, Capt. Jamshed J. Appoo, Mr K. Manoj Kumar, Mr Ashok Ranpise and M/s. DT Racing & Breeding LLP. The winner stopped the clock in 1:23.29, delivering an authoritative display over the seven-furlong trip.
IRON MIRAGE settled into a comfortable rhythm through the early stages before travelling strongly around the bend. Akshay Kumar timed his challenge to perfection, asking the gelding for his effort approaching the final furlong. Responding willingly, IRON MIRAGE accelerated clear of his rivals and maintained his momentum all the way to the winning post, rewarding connections with an accomplished success in one of the afternoon’s notable contests.
SHINING WAYS finished a creditable second for jockey Suraj Narredu and trainer S. Narredu, clocking 1:23.98 after staying on gamely in the closing stages. RAMPAGE, partnered by YASH NARREDU and trained by Shazaan Shah, completed the placings in 1:24.26, ensuring a competitive finish among the leading trio.
With another quality contest concluded, attention now shifts to The Ranibennur Plate, scheduled for 4:30 PM, as the Bangalore Summer Meeting continues to deliver an entertaining afternoon of racing.
