The Bangalore Turf Club (BTC) – Bangalore Turf Club staged another exciting contest during the Bangalore Summer Meeting, 21st day, Saturday, 11th July 2026, as Race No. 2 – The D. M. Shivaswamy Memorial Trophy was decided over 1600 metres at 2:00 PM. In another memorable Bangalore race result 11th July, ELYSIUM, ridden confidently by Akshay Kumar and trained by S.S. Attaollahi, produced a polished performance to secure top honours for owners Ms DT Racing & Breeding LLP, Mr Mukul A. Sonawala, Mr S. R. Sanas and Sarainaga Racing Pvt. Ltd.
Settled comfortably through the early stages, ELYSIUM travelled fluently before quickening at the right moment entering the straight. Akshay Kumar judged the pace to perfection, allowing the runner to build momentum gradually before asserting authority in the closing stages. The victory once again highlighted the excellent preparation from trainer S.S. Attaollahi, with the winner finishing strongly over the mile trip.
ICE OF FIRE, partnered by A. Ashhad Asbar for trainer Pradeep Annaiah, chased the winner home with a determined effort to finish second. PRINCE OF WALES, ridden by Antony Raj S. and trained by Prasanna Kumar, stayed on well to claim third place after remaining competitive throughout the contest. Official race times for the leading finishers were not available at the time of publication.
With Race No. 2 concluded, attention now shifts to The Chennai Cup DIV I, scheduled to start at 2:30 PM, as the Bangalore Summer Meeting continues with another competitive contest on the card.
