The afternoon card featured a balanced mix of sprint and middle-distance handicaps, attracting quality fields and several prominent stables. Consistent performances across the meeting produced seven different winners, while jockey Z. T. Lloyd emerged as the standout rider after recording two victories during another successful midweek fixture.

Launching the afternoon’s programme, the Kia Ora Bloodlines To Headlines Handicap was run in 1:04.79, with OH ARTHUR producing an assured performance under A. Layt for trainer Lucy Longmire. ISAWYOU finished second, while CHURCHILLIAN secured third after keeping on well in the closing stages.
Building on the competitive start, the Headwater @ Vinery Stud Handicap was captured by HOSTWIN KING, who stopped the clock at 1:11.80. L. Beuzelin partnered the Tommy Wong-trained galloper to victory ahead of ELIO, with HOROLOGIST completing the placings.
Adding further quality to the programme, the Asahi Super Dry Handicap went the way of LADY INVICTUS, who crossed the line in 1:10.98. Ridden by A. Hyeronimus and prepared by the accomplished partnership of Gai Waterhouse & Adrian Bott, the winner finished ahead of GATWICK, while SPONARS claimed third.
