Dubai Racing Club has announced a major international partnership with Fasig-Tipton, North America’s oldest Thoroughbred auction company, in a move designed to strengthen global cooperation and create fresh opportunities for owners, trainers and breeders across the sport.

The agreement will see Fasig-Tipton establish a stronger presence throughout the 2026–27 Dubai Racing Carnival at Meydan Racecourse, while both organisations work together to encourage greater international participation and improve the movement of elite Thoroughbreds between leading racing jurisdictions. The initiative is also aimed at reinforcing Dubai’s standing as one of the world’s leading centres for international racing.
Built on a shared connection to Dubai and a commitment to raising standards across the sport, the collaboration is expected to provide American owners and trainers with a clearer route into the Dubai Racing Carnival, while giving UAE-based participants greater access to North America’s leading bloodstock sales. The Dubai Racing Club Fasig-Tipton partnership is expected to strengthen links between two of the industry’s most influential organisations.
H.E. Ali Al Ali, Chief Executive Officer and Board Member of Dubai Racing Club, described the agreement as an important step in connecting two major racing regions.
“This partnership creates a stronger bridge between two of the world’s most important racing markets,” he said. “It provides our owners and trainers with greater visibility of North America’s finest bloodstock, while giving Fasig-Tipton graduates an even clearer pathway to compete on one of the sport’s biggest international stages through the Dubai Racing Carnival and Dubai World Cup.
“As international participation continues to grow, our focus remains on creating meaningful opportunities that strengthen Dubai’s position as a destination where the world’s best horses, owners and trainers come together to compete.”
Founded in 1898, Fasig-Tipton has played a significant role in the development of the North American Thoroughbred industry, selling many accomplished racehorses and breeding stock over more than a century. Horses sourced through its sales have also enjoyed notable success in Dubai in recent seasons, including Group 2 Godolphin Mile winner Banishing and Group 3 Firebreak Stakes winner Mendelssohn Bay during the 2026 campaign.
Fasig-Tipton President Boyd Browning welcomed the collaboration, saying international competition has become central to modern Thoroughbred racing.
“Dubai has firmly established itself as one of the world’s great racing centres,” Browning said. “We are delighted to forge this partnership with the Dubai Racing Club as we continue to expand our presence in the region and strengthen our relationships with owners, breeders and racing professionals. We look forward to welcoming our new partners to our iconic Saratoga Sale next month.”
The Dubai Racing Club Fasig-Tipton partnership will begin immediately, with representatives from Dubai Racing Club attending the Fasig-Tipton Saratoga Select Sale in August. The visit will mark the first of several collaborative initiatives planned during the upcoming international season.
The announcement also reflects Dubai Racing Club’s broader strategy of increasing overseas participation in its flagship racing programme. Last season’s Dubai Racing Carnival attracted 47 international trainers, 130 overseas-trained runners and winners representing five different countries, making it the most internationally diverse edition in the event’s history.
As preparations continue for another Carnival season, the Dubai Racing Club Fasig-Tipton partnership is expected to create stronger international connections while supporting the continued growth of the Dubai Racing Carnival and the Dubai World Cup on the global racing calendar.
