Racing continued at the Bangalore Turf Club (BTC) during the Bangalore Summer Meeting on Sunday, 28th June 2026, with The Richelieu Stakes serving as the afternoon’s third contest.The Class IV event for horses rated 20 to 45 was contested over 1400 metres at 3:00 PM, where Steely Challenge delivered a strong performance to secure victory. Ridden by Antony Raj S. and trained by Darius R. Byramji, the winner stopped the clock at 1:24.54 for owners Ms Rapar Galloping Stars LLP & Mr Rajan Aggarwal.

The Bangalore race result 28th June once again highlighted the depth of competition at BTC, with The Richelieu Stakes producing an exciting finish and another noteworthy performance during the summer meeting. Steely Challenge settled comfortably through the early stages before Antony Raj S. asked for a decisive effort entering the home straight. Responding willingly, the gelding quickened impressively to move clear of his rivals and maintained his advantage to the winning post, rewarding the confidence of trainer Darius R. Byramji with a well-earned success.

Queendom finished second in 1:25.31, with Akshay Kumar in the saddle for trainer S.S. Attaollahi, staying on well but unable to reel in the winner. Lightning Blitz completed the frame in third, clocking 1:26.18 under Suraj Narredu for trainer S. Narredu, keeping on steadily to secure a place among the leading trio.

Attention at Bangalore Turf Club now turns to the day’s feature contests, with The Chief Minister’s Cup scheduled for 3:30 PM, promising another high-quality showdown on an exciting afternoon of racing.
