The Class II contest for horses rated 60 to 85 was run over 2000 metres at 03:30 PM, with Prokofiev stopping the clock at 2:05.94 for owners Poonawalla Racing & Breeding Pvt Ltd rep by Mr Zavaray S Poonawalla, Mrs Behroze Z Poonawalla, Mr Yohan Z Poonawalla, Mrs Michelle Y Poonawalla, Ms Delna Z Poonawalla, Mrs Simone Poonawalla Pandole, Mr Rishad N Pandole & Ms Tania Y Poonawalla’s.
The latest Bangalore race result 20th June saw Prokofiev produce a well-timed run under jockey Akshay Kumar, displaying confidence and control throughout the 2000-metre journey. Trained by Prasanna Kumar, the winner travelled smoothly before making his decisive move in the closing stages to settle the outcome in his favour.
The race unfolded with a strong tactical battle as the field remained closely grouped for much of the contest. Prokofiev maintained a balanced rhythm and showed superior finishing speed when the pressure increased, allowing him to pull clear and register a convincing success in The Civil Service Cup.
Caccini (J: Vivek G., T: Karthik Ganapathy) chased the winner home, finishing second in 2:06.35 after staying in contention until the final stages. Ice Of Fire (J: A. Ashhad Asbar, T: Pradeep Annaiah) completed the top three, recording a finishing time of 2:07.99.
