The Bangalore Turf Club (BTC), witnessed an exciting opening race on the 16th day of the Bangalore Summer Meeting on Sunday, 21st June 2026. The 1st race, The Guindy Plate DIV II, a Class V contest for horses rated 00 to 25 over 1200 metres, began at 01:30 PM, where AMAZING STORM produced a strong finish to claim victory for owner Mr S Saleem Shah. The Bangalore race result 21th June featured a confident performance from the winner, who stopped the clock at 1:15.54 under jockey Bhawani Singh for trainer M. Rajendra Singh.
AMAZING STORM settled well during the early stages before gradually improving position as the race unfolded. Bhawani Singh timed the final challenge perfectly, allowing the winner to accelerate in the closing stages and secure the Guindy Plate DIV II honours with authority. The combination of tactical riding and strong finishing speed helped AMAZING STORM edge ahead of the competition.
The runner-up position was secured by ANZAC PARADE, ridden by Aditya Waydande and trained by S. Dominic, who completed the race in 1:15.82 after staying competitive throughout. DR. COLCHESTER, guided by jockey Arul J H and trained by S Shoban Babu, finished third with a recorded time of 1:16.11.
With the opening contest completed, attention now moves towards the next event on the card, The Bergamo Plate DIV II at 02:00 PM, as the Bangalore Summer Meeting continues with more competitive racing action.
