The sixth race of the Bangalore Summer Meeting on Sunday, 14th June 2026, at Bangalore Turf Club (BTC) , witnessed a top-class performance as MARGARETTA captured The Zavaray S. Poonawalla Fillies Championship Stakes, a prestigious contest for three-year-old Indian fillies run over 1600 metres. Run at 04:00 PM, the feature event added another highlight to the Bangalore race result 14th June programme as MARGARETTA, ridden by Vivek G. and trained by P. Shroff, powered to victory in 1:41.13. The filly races in the ownership of Mr Mehernosh H. Deboo & Mrs Auzita M. Deboo, who were rewarded with a memorable success in one of the day’s marquee races.
From the outset, MARGARETTA travelled smoothly and settled into a comfortable rhythm before producing a decisive challenge in the closing stages. Vivek G. timed his move to perfection, allowing the filly to lengthen stride when it mattered most. Showing both class and determination, MARGARETTA surged clear under pressure and maintained her advantage to secure an impressive victory against a talented field of fillies.
Bangalore Race Result 14th June
The runner-up position went to HAVOC, partnered by Suraj Narredu and trained by P. S. Chouhan, who finished strongly to stop the clock at 1:41.58. Just behind in third was STARZELLA, ridden by Antony Raj S. for trainer Prasanna Kumar, recording a time of 1:41.63. The narrow margins between the placed runners reflected the competitive nature of the championship contest and provided an exciting finish for racegoers at BTC.
With The Zavaray S. Poonawalla Fillies Championship Stakes concluded, attention now turns to THE WORLD BLOOD DONOR DAY PLATE, scheduled for 04:30 PM, as the Bangalore Summer Meeting continues to deliver quality racing action.
