The picturesque Catterick Bridge Racecourse will host a compelling six-race programme on Thursday, 11 June, with more than £56,000 in prize money scheduled to be distributed across a varied card featuring maiden, novice and handicap contests. The evening fixture will commence at 6:22pm and conclude at 8:59pm, providing opportunities for juveniles, sprinters, stayers and seasoned handicappers across a range of distances.
Opening proceedings will come in the British EBF Maiden Stakes (Class 3) (GBB Race) at 6:22pm. The £13,000 contest will be run over 7f 6y and will be restricted to two-year-olds. A field of five runners will line up, comprising Collateral Damage, Leave The Bag In, Sou’wester, Wilbur and Rogue Passion. As the sole maiden event on the programme, the race will offer an early assessment of several developing juveniles.

The second contest on the card will be the Novice Stakes (Class 4) (GBB Race) at 6:52pm. Worth £10,000 and staged over 5f 212y, the race will be open to horses aged three years and older. Nursia, Alpha Platoon, Lamlash Bay, Sugar Bon Bon, Two Commanders, Havana Oaks and Korbut will form the field in a contest that will provide valuable experience for emerging performers.
Sprint specialists will then take centre stage in the Handicap Stakes (Class 6) at 7:22pm. The £7,000 event will be run over five furlongs and will be restricted to three-year-olds. Enjoy The Night, Gwen Tennyson, Saxon Grace, Brain Freeze, Havin A Flyer, Powernap and Sparkling Wine will contest a race where speed and effective track positioning will likely prove decisive.
The fourth race of the evening will be the Handicap Stakes (Class 5) at 7:52pm. Carrying prize money of £8,000, the five-furlong sprint will be open to horses aged four years and older. Equity Law, Arctic Summer, Le Beau Garcon, Isle of Lismore, Glory Fighter, Winchurch and Lucius Aurelius are expected to compete in another closely matched contest.
Attention will then shift to the longest race on the programme, the Handicap Stakes (Class 4) (GBBPLUS Race) at 8:23pm. Worth £10,000 and run over 1m 5f 192y, the event will feature six runners aged four years and above. Military Air, Robert Johnson, Baileys Khelstar, Sixpack, Lightning Tiger and Gibside will take part in a race that will place the emphasis firmly on stamina and tactical judgement.
The fixture will conclude with the Racing Again 22nd June Handicap Stakes (Class 5) at 8:59pm. The £8,000 contest will be run over 7f 6y for horses aged four years and older and has attracted the largest field of the evening, with ten runners declared. Uppercase, Tattie Bogle, Vince Le Prince, In A Hurry, Qazaq, Pouting and Imperial Guard are among those set to contest the finale.
With races ranging from sharp five-furlong sprints to an extended staying handicap, Thursday’s programme will present a balanced examination of speed, stamina and developing talent.
