The 6th Race, The Astounding Plate (Class IV: Horses rated 20 to 45), run over 1600M at 05:00 PM on Sunday, 7th June 2026, at the Bangalore Summer Meeting, witnessed a determined performance as TURF PARADISE (J: A. Ashhad Asbar, T: V. Lokanath) stormed to victory for Mrs S Jagadamba. The performance added another notable highlight to the Bangalore race result 7th June card at the Bangalore Turf Club (BTC).
Turf Paradise produced a polished and confident run, settling into a handy early position before asserting control in the crucial stages of the mile contest. Once asked for an effort, the winner responded strongly, gradually edging away from the field to seal the race with authority in the final strides, displaying both stamina and composure.
The early pace ensured a genuine test, but Turf Paradise’s timing proved decisive. The gelding tracked the leaders comfortably before launching a sustained drive inside the final 400 metres, leaving no room for late challengers and holding firm to the finish.
Finishing in second place was IMPERADOR (J: Vishal, T: Prasanna Kumar), who put in a consistent effort to clock 1:42.91, staying on steadily but unable to match the winner’s turn of foot. PLEDGE (J: Akshay Kumar, T: Darius R. Byramji) claimed third in 1:43.20, rounding off the frame after a measured and patient ride.
With The Astounding Plate now concluded, attention turns to the remaining contests on the card, where higher-rated performers are set to headline the day’s action at the Bangalore Summer Meeting.
