The action at the Bangalore Turf Club (BTC) on Sunday, 7th June 2026, continued with The Nandi Plate, the 2nd race of the Bangalore Summer Meeting’s 12th day, a Class IV contest for horses rated 20 to 45 over 1400M at 03:00 PM. In a well-judged effort, STAR COMET, owned by Mr Kapil Dev M, brought up a confident victory under Akshay Kumar, stopping the clock at 1:26.74. The result added further interest to the ongoing Bangalore race result 7th June card, which has already begun unfolding with closely fought finishes.
From the break, the field settled into an even rhythm, with no early rush for the lead as contenders conserved energy for the business end of the race. Star Comet was kept comfortably within striking distance, travelling fluently in midfield before Akshay Kumar began to angle the gelding forward approaching the turn. Once balanced into the straight, Star Comet responded well, picking up momentum steadily and then asserting control inside the final 200 metres to pull clear when it mattered most.
Behind the winner, SOUTHERN FORCE put in a determined effort to finish second for Antony Raj S. and trainer Faraz Arshad, clocking 1:27.17 after staying on strongly without quite matching the winner’s turn of foot. ELVEDEN, under Aleemuddin for trainer Arjun Mangalorkar, completed the top three in 1:27.36, finishing with consistency but unable to close the gap in the final stretch.
With The Nandi Plate wrapped up, attention now moves to the next event on the card, The CNN Family and Friends Legacy Trophy at 03:30 PM, where the competitive tone of the afternoon is expected to continue at the Bangalore Turf Club.
