The 6th race, The Rare Gem Plate DIV I, a Class IV contest for horses rated 20 to 45 over 1200 M, run at 05:00 PM on Saturday, 6th June 2026, at the Bangalore Turf Club (BTC), produced a tightly-fought finish with SAPPORO striking the winning note for owners M/s Rapar Galloping Stars LLP. The performance also reflected in the wider Bangalore race result 6th June narrative, as the afternoon continued to deliver closely matched finishes across divisions.
Settled just off the pace, SAPPORO was positioned efficiently by jockey Pavan, travelling within striking distance as the field turned for home. The race unfolded at a controlled tempo early, but SAPPORO responded strongly when asked, producing a sustained finish in the final 200 metres to edge clear in the closing strides. The tactical patience from the yard of trainer Irfan Ghatala proved decisive as the colt/filly timed the effort to perfection over the sharp sprint trip.
Finishing second was CARAT LOVE, guided by Mukesh Kumar and trained by Vishesh M.P., stopping the clock at 1:15.19 after a game effort throughout. The third spot went to SOLARA, ridden by A. Sandesh for trainer S.S. Attaollahi, finishing in 1:15.53 after staying on steadily in the final furlong but unable to match the winner’s late acceleration.
With SAPPORO asserting superiority in the final stages, attention now turns to the remaining card at BTC, where higher-class sprints are set to further shape the day’s competitive storyline.
