The 1300-metre Class IV contest for horses rated 20 to 45 saw a polished performance from VALIANT STREAM, who prevailed in 1:22.18 for owners Manjri Horse Breeders’ Farm Pvt Ltd, Ms DT Racing & Breeding LLP & Stride Livestock Pvt Ltd.
The latest Bangalore race result 31 May delivered another sharp finish to an evenly matched sprint, with VALIANT STREAM producing the most decisive turn of foot in the closing stages.
The race unfolded at a strong early tempo, with VALIANT STREAM settling into a comfortable rhythm before being guided into contention on the turn by jockey Akshay Kumar. The S.S. Attaollahi-trained gelding responded strongly when asked for an effort inside the final 300 metres, surging past rivals with sustained acceleration to take control in the final strides and seal a convincing win in a tightly packed field.
Runner-up honours went to DARRINGTON (Pavan, trained by Irfan Ghatala), who kept on steadily throughout to finish in 1:22.95, while AGRADOR (A. Sandesh, trained by Darius R. Byramji) was close behind in third, clocking 1:22.98 after a late challenge that fell just short.
