he opening contest of the Bangalore Summer Meeting’s tenth day at Bangalore Turf Club (BTC) saw BARTOLINO produce a determined performance to capture The Endorsement Plate, a maiden race for three-year-old horses over 1600 metres, held at 2:00 PM on 31 May 2026. Partnered by Pavan and trained by Irfan Ghatala, the colt stopped the clock at 1:44.36 to register an impressive victory for owners Mrs Kaviya V, Mr Francis Arun Kumar, Mr Mohd Javeed Ghatala and Ms Ajaad Stud and Livestock OPC Pvt Ltd. The performance immediately became one of the notable talking points in the Bangalore race result 31 May coverage from the afternoon’s programme.
BARTOLINO travelled smoothly through the early stages before being positioned to challenge as the field approached the final bend. Showing a strong turn of foot when asked for his effort, the winner responded gamely under Pavan’s riding and edged clear during the closing stages. Despite pressure from rivals throughout the home straight, BARTOLINO maintained his momentum and held on resolutely to secure a well-earned maiden success.
The closest challenger was DIGITAL EMPRESS, ridden by A. Sandesh and trained by Deshmukh L. V. R., who finished strongly to claim second place in 1:44.50. Just behind came ASHWA NEW YORK, representing trainer Rajesh Narredu and ridden by Suraj Narredu, who completed the podium in 1:44.62 after staying on steadily in the concluding stages. The narrow margins between the first three home highlighted the competitive nature of the contest.
