The Bangalore race result 30 May at Bangalore Turf Club (BTC) delivered another competitive finish at the Bangalore Summer Meeting, 9th day, where MONEY BAGS produced a decisive late surge to land the spoils in The Sir M. Visvesvaraya Memorial Trophy.
Race 5, The Sir M. Visvesvaraya Memorial Trophy, a Class II contest for horses rated 60 to 85 over 1400 metres, run at 04:00 PM, saw MONEY BAGS (J: Antony Raj S., T: Prasanna Kumar) prevail in style for owners Capt Jamshed J Appoo, Mr K Manoj Kumar, Mr K Kaliyaperumal, and Mr J Ramesh, stopping the clock at a smart 1:25.66.
The race unfolded at a measured pace in the early stages before MONEY BAGS was settled just behind the leaders by Antony Raj S. Traveling comfortably throughout, the winner was angled out on the turn for home and quickly responded when asked for an effort. In the final 300 metres, MONEY BAGS picked up strongly, sweeping past the front-runners with authority to seize control and assert clear dominance approaching the finish line.
EFFICACY (J: Suraj Narredu, T: S.S. Attaollahi) ran a solid race in pursuit of the winner and finished second, clocking 1:26.84 after staying on gamely under pressure. RODNEY (J: Pavan, T: Irfan Ghatala) secured third place in 1:27.47, running on steadily in the closing stages but unable to match the top two.
With the feature race concluded, attention now turns to The Romantic Dance Plate at 04:30 PM, as the Bangalore Summer Meeting continues with more competitive action on a lively card.
