The Bangalore Turf Club (BTC), witnessed another competitive contest during the Bangalore Summer Meeting, 8th day, on Sunday, 24 May 2026, as MYSTIKOS delivered a polished performance to capture the 7th race, The Commonwealth Day Plate, a Class IV event for horses rated 20 to 45 over 1200 metres at 5:00 PM. In an impressive Bangalore race result 24May. update, MYSTIKOS (J: P. Trevor) surged home strongly for trainer K. Purshotham, clocking 1:14.32 while carrying the silks of owner Mrs Sreya Bose.
Breaking smartly from the gates, MYSTIKOS settled comfortably in striking position as the field travelled briskly through the early stages of the sprint. P. Trevor judged the pace to perfection before asking the gelding for his effort inside the final furlong. Responding gamely, MYSTIKOS accelerated decisively in the closing stages to gain control and maintain his advantage all the way to the winning post, giving trainer K. Purshotham another notable success at the Bangalore Summer Meeting.
Runner-up honours went to BREEZE BLUSTER (J: Antony Raj S., T: V. Lokanath), who stayed on well to finish second in 1:14.62 after challenging prominently in the straight. EBOTSE (J: Aleemuddin, T: Arjun Mangalorkark) completed the placings in third, stopping the clock at 1:14.87 after a determined late effort against experienced company.
With The Commonwealth Day Plate concluded, attention at Bangalore Racecourse quickly shifted towards the upcoming The Pendragon Plate DIV I scheduled for 5:30 PM, where another competitive field was set to continue the afternoon’s racing excitement.
