Settled comfortably in the early stages, Bright Thunder was positioned just off the pace as the field sorted itself out in the initial furlong. Turning for home, Akshay Kumar began to ask for effort, and the colt responded gamely, finding a strong rhythm inside the final 200 metres. With a well-timed burst, Bright Thunder edged ahead in the closing strides to seal victory, showing both maturity and acceleration in a tightly contested finish.
Osaka (Suraj Narredu, James Mckeown) produced a determined chase to finish second, clocking 1:14.83 after staying on well in the straight but just failing to reel in the winner. On The Rise (Pavan, Irfan Ghatala) completed the frame in 1:15.84, running on steadily to secure third without threatening the front pair in the final furlong.
