The Scottish racing scene will return to action on Thursday as Musselburgh Racecourse prepares to stage a competitive seven-race meeting. The afternoon programme will feature a broad spectrum of maiden contests, sprint handicaps and staying examinations, with racing scheduled from 2:20pm through to 5:35pm across varied distances and classifications.
The fixture will assemble a blend of established campaigners and progressive runners, while prize money across the card will range from £7,000 to £30,000. The programme will provide opportunities for developing horses and experienced performers across a balanced afternoon schedule.
Proceedings will commence with the Amateur Jockeys’ Handicap Stakes (Class 6) at 2:20pm. The opening contest will carry prize money of £7,000 and will be run over 2m 11y with seven runners expected to take part. The staying handicap will include Elemental Eye, Zimmerman, Bronte Beach, Gallus Norman, Ravenswell and Yurinov, with the opening event set to provide an early test of endurance.

The expected line-up will contain Alpha Platoon, Star Banner, Whernside, You Will See, Blakefell and Dream Odyssey, with lightly raced participants set to continue their development.
The mid-card action will arrive with the Handicap Stakes (Class 6) at 3:50pm. Staged over 1m 218y, the contest will provide £7,000 in prize money and feature seven runners. Falcon Nine, Krissy, Glasses Up, Samra Star, Misemerald and Pebble Dash are among the anticipated participants in the middle-distance contest.
The principal handicap on the programme will take centre stage at 4:25pm with the Handicap Stakes (Class 3). The race will be contested over 7f 25y, carry £20,000 in prize money, and feature 10 runners. Expected participants will include Bellarchi, Misunderstood, Gweedore, Wild Nature, Percy’s Lad and Persuasion, producing one of the most competitive fields assembled on the card.
