The Bangalore Turf Club (BTC), witnessed another competitive contest during the Bangalore Summer Meeting, 6th day, on Sunday, 17 May 2026, as Knotty Cruise stormed home to capture Race No. 2, The Sweet Memories Plate, a Class IV event for horses rated 20 to 45 over 1400 metres at 03:30 PM. Trained by Prasanna Kumar and ridden confidently by Antony Raj S., the winner stopped the clock at 1:25.79 while carrying the colours of Mr K. Kamesh, Mr. Srikanth Badruka, Mr K. Balamukunda Das, Mr. D. Sanjeev Basapa, Mr Ashok Ranpise, Mr. Rajkumar S, Mr. Dharmesh Mehta and Mr M. N. Nambiar. The Bangalore race result 17 May card continued to produce closely fought finishes and strong performances through the afternoon.
Knotty Cruise travelled comfortably through the early stages before Antony Raj S. gradually improved position approaching the bend. Once into the straight, the gelding responded smartly to pressure, quickening decisively inside the final furlong to gain control of the contest. The winning move proved well-timed as the Prasanna Kumar-trained runner stretched away with authority in the closing stages to register an impressive victory in competitive company.
Turf Paradise finished second after a determined effort under A. Ashhad Asbar for trainer V. Lokanath, clocking 1:26.17 while staying on gamely in pursuit of the winner. Absolute Katrina secured third place for jockey Arul J.H and trainer Joseph B. Awale, finishing in 1:26.65 after making late progress in the straight. The minor placings were closely contested, adding further depth to an entertaining renewal of the race.
With The Sweet Memories Plate concluded, attention at Bangalore now turns to the upcoming The Aihole Plate scheduled for 04:00 PM, where another competitive field is expected to line up as the Bangalore Summer Meeting gathers momentum.
