At Bangalore Turf Club(BTC), the competitive fourth race of the Bangalore Summer Meeting on Saturday, 16 May 2026, produced a polished performance in The B.T.C. Charitable Trust Trophy, a Class I contest for horses rated 80 and above over 1400 metres. Run at 04:30 PM, the feature saw STAR GLORY surge to an impressive victory under Yash Narredu for trainer S. Narredu, clocking 1:25.37 while carrying the colours of Mr Daulat Chhabria & Mr S Narredu. STAR GLORY travelled strongly through the early stages before being positioned perfectly approaching the bend, with Yash Narredu keeping the gelding relaxed behind the pace. Once into the straight, the winner responded fluently when asked for an effort, quickening smartly inside the final furlong to gain a decisive advantage in a tightly contested finish. The smooth acceleration and composed handling ultimately proved the difference against a strong Class I field.
GLOBAL INFLUENCE finished second for jockey Suraj Narredu and trainer Rajesh Narredu, staying on gamely to record a time of 1:25.64 after challenging prominently in the closing stages. DON CARLOS, ridden by Akshay Kumar for trainer S.S. Attaollahi, was only narrowly behind in third after stopping the clock at 1:25.67, ensuring the placings were separated by fine margins in an absorbing finish.
