The Bangalore Turf Club (BTC) witnessed an impressive performance in The Royal Challenge Plate, held over 1500 metres during the Bangalore Summer Meeting, 4th day, on Sunday, 10 May 2026 at 03:00 PM. MAKOTO stormed to victory under jockey Rajesh Kumar M for trainer V Narayana Gowda, clocking 1:34.87 in a commanding display. Representing owner Mr Babu Krishna Kishore, the winner produced one of the standout efforts of the afternoon at Bangalore Racecourse.
The Bangalore race result 10 May delivered another competitive middle-distance contest as MAKOTO travelled smoothly through the early stages before quickening decisively in the home straight. Rajesh Kumar M timed the challenge perfectly, allowing the gelding to surge clear approaching the final furlong and maintain a comfortable advantage to the winning post. The victory reflected both tactical patience and strong finishing acceleration from the V Narayana Gowda-trained runner.
AGAPE finished second with Akshay Kumar in the saddle for trainer Azhar Ali, stopping the clock at 1:35.70 after staying on steadily behind the winner. DR. COLCHESTER secured third place for jockey Arul J H and trainer S Shoban Babu in 1:36.61, completing the placings in a race that maintained a strong tempo throughout.
With The Royal Challenge Plate concluded at Bangalore Racecourse, attention quickly shifted to the upcoming Race No. 22, The Razeen Plate DIV II, scheduled for 03:30 PM, where another competitive field was set to continue the excitement of the Bangalore Summer Meeting card.
